On Saturday I played the 4th event at the SSPC. This week the tournament was pretty uneventful for me. I managed to hang around for awhile until I caught pocket As in the BB, decided to slow play them, and called the small blind's all-in bet on the K high flop. I figured he had something like KQ, but he was flopped two pair, Ks and 5s. I talked to at least three other people who were knocked out of the tournament with cracked pocket As! I guess the 1st place finisher of the tournament basically sucked out on most her all-ins (catching trip 10s against someone's pocket As, etc) to take the win.
After I got knocked out I sat at the 1/2 NL cash game, I bought in for the minimum, $40, and walked away with $200 ($160 profit). I was a little sick and felt worse as the day moved on, so the cash game was a nice end to a blah day.
