when are you good enough?

How do you know if you're a good player or not? If you always play against the same people every week how do you know if you're playing well or if you just know how to play against those opponents. I think it's a bad idea to only play with the same group of players every week. Now sure we have maybe 1 or 2 new people every couple of weeks, but new players are generally not comfortable with the game yet and they do not play much of a role in it. I think that the only way to get better is to play constantly. You can read as much as you want, but there's no substitute for experience. Right now I'm not able to play more than once per week, and it kills me. I really want to get a computer just so that I can play online more and log more hours. Online poker is so amazing and I don't know why I ever stopped playing. I guess because I stopped having a computer. Online poker let's you: play way more hands per hour, play at any time of the day or night you want, play more than one table at once, actually have pieces of paper next to your computer with odds and probabilities to help you calculate every decision. There are also a lot of draw backs to playing online and I guess the biggest one is the fact that it's just not as exciting. There's no way to look at the other players and size them up when they make a bet, or look for tells. It's just not as cool for sure.

What I really want to do is play some poker in the casino again. Maybe 2 days of 10 hour long sessions just grinding it out in $2-$4 limit poker. I'll have to brush up on my limit poker before I do that though because $2-$4 limit is just a bit out of my bankroll range right now and it would be a significant blow to my bankroll if I lost $200 in one day.
